A Sweet Success: Thank you to our Dessert Heroes!
Every year, we worry whether we’ll have enough homemade desserts to accompany the 300+ meals served at our BBQ—but once again, our extraordinary bakers came through in spectacular fashion! As the event day arrived, the dessert parade began, with plates piled high with cookies, cakes, cobblers, cupcakes, and brownies. The sugary display was enough to make even Santa’s elves envious!
This year’s dessert parade masters, Marilyn Batten and Margaret Pargin, expertly greeted bakers, managed the delivery of delectable treats, and prepared them into generous individual servings. Their hard work ensured not only that every guest had dessert but that there was even enough to share with our three fire stations.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible bakers: Edie Tonnesen, Sandy McDaniel, Cristal Kordzik, Jane Ford, Donna Allum (who brought an amazing 12 dozen cookies!), Deanna Mast, Katie Van, Page Graves, Judy Wisdom, Sandra Brown, Barb Jones, and Marge. Your contributions made the event sweeter in every sense of the word!
